I didn’t get a job as a cashier, it’s a e-commerce position.
The management is friendly and the coworkers are welcoming and friendly also.
I felt lost on my first day and made me discouraged because I was thrust into a position that I knew nothing about and kinda thrown in to just do it with a small 5 min crash course.
And apparently full time doesn’t exist and I’m not happy with the lack of hours they provide

Deli Clerk Associate (离职员工) - Portland, OR - 2020年8月16日This job position is fit for a first job only, or if you like being mistreated and abused. Cheap, Low-quality, over priced food with attitudes that match! Disgusting quality of sanitation , managers and staff have no experience with health and safety violations. The only way they pass inspections is by controlling the inspectors by lying, cheating, and re-directing. All managers and staff are slave driven which would explain their bad attitudes. If a manager or staff feels threatened by an employee, they act insecure and passive aggressive. Management and Staff are extremely unprofessional, immature, cliquey, and passive aggressive. They manipulate their employees into order by passive aggressively punishing them. I have been yelled and screamed at to respect their authority too many times to count. They like to see people suffer more than they themselves are. Customer service is a joke, I ve had so many customers come up to me where it was safe and quietly complain (adding they would never be back). Employees are given $2.00 coupons, nasty expired free food in break room once in a while, oh and crayons with coloring sheets as incentives! Benefits are non-existent, so is over time pay (however you can count on working overtime)! Management (including HR) hides and refuses to communicate with you, because their too busy for their staff! This business would be a fine temporary work place for an inexperienced teenager that can stand up for themselves and then MOVE ON. My son worked there also, and because he was just a kid still, the store managers treated him like sh**. Unfortunately some of the workers have a tendency to vanish for hours on end and receive no punishment. Now this place is not totally horrible as a few of the managers actually care about the courtesies. They also have great flexible hours and will work around your schedule. Also the pay is atrocious despite the fact that they advertise their competitive pay . Overall, it was not a terrible job. Getting some store discounts was a good perk. It’s the employees and management that does not care to change things that NEED to be changed. Unfortunately one of my currently managers is a 10 year old, who had to be watched every single time you ask them to do something. The general manager at my store is always on vacation. And has her favorite people, and does not enjoy the other people(she is very critical about the people she likes) (who are mainly the slackers in the job) for me it is frustrating when I am working hard, but yet nobody decides to say great job or thanks for staying late tonight, when others do nothing, and get praised. Hiring process was excellent and my co-workers and managers treat all fellow associates like family. A typical day is generally bagging items, taking out the trash, cleaning the bathrooms and generally making the store look nice. During the walkthrough I learned what each department does and how they operate. Management is super nice and laid back, are willing to help with anything and makes sure your experience is enjoyable. Workplace culture is one of the best parts of the job. I am in high school so It is nice getting to work with people in my age group. Hardest part of the job is navigating the poorly designed parking lot. Narrow spaces and poor visibility throughout the lot make it tough getting in and out. If you drive a big vehicle, you may want to check your parking.
